APRN/PA - Cardiology

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring an APRN/PA to work in cardiology. The position supports all of the cardiology physicians in an active practice delivering care to patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members to deliver health care services.
• Provide direct patient care, perform procedures and prescribe medications under protocol.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Participate in the marketing, evaluation and growth of the center.

Required profile

• Masters degree in Nursing or a Physician Assistant degree.
• Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant.
• American Heart Association BLS certification for health care providers and ACLS certification.
• Demonstrated case management abilities and clinical competency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Threshold requirements

• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including attendance at the new employee program and TB/PPD surveillance.
• Maintenance of required professional license and/or certification.
• Physical ability for frequent walking, standing, bending and reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
