Applications Developer - Oracle TRCS

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Applications Developer focused on Oracle TRCS (Tax Reporting Cloud Service) to oversee the full life cycle of a software application: designing it, coding it and testing it for functionality, performance and security. The role is based in New York and is hybrid, with three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Support and assist senior developers in writing code, tests and debugging, and in building enhancements that meet project goals.
• Lead Oracle TRCS enhancement activities across a senior-level portfolio.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities so that systems perform accurately and reliably.
• Turn business requirements into scalable Oracle EPM solutions that improve efficiency, controls and reporting.
• Provide technical support to internal clients and escalate issues as appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of experience with tax software, preferably TRCS or OneSource, or experience with FCCS, including workflow, business rules, reporting and Smart View.
• Experience working with tax reporting teams to implement and maintain tax reporting processes, including data collection, tax provision calculations and compliant reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills, quick learning ability and experience troubleshooting technical issues in cloud and on-premise environments.

Required skills

• Oracle TRCS and/or OneSource, and knowledge of EPM software development.
• System usage monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in support functions: problem investigation, development, testing and deployment.
