Applications Administrator (Underfill Option)

About the role

The Applications Administrator will support medium‑to‑small scale business function and middleware applications, providing Tier 3 support, configuration, scripting, and automation. The role can also be filled at an Associate level with a lower salary.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and deploy applications in test and production environments.
• Monitor performance, tune applications and servers, and resolve complex application issues.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches, and releases while ensuring compatibility with other systems.
• Maintain security and integrity of production environments in line with IT policies.
• Document procedures, create clear support documentation, and collaborate with vendors and business partners.

Required profile

• 3+ years of progressive IT experience in applications administration, development, or systems administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a government or public‑utility setting is highly desirable.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.

Required skills

• Application configuration and scripting (SQL, PowerShell, Perl, UNIX shell).
• Tier 3 support for COTS, cloud, and on‑premise enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with AssetWorks FleetFocus, IBM Maximo Application Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, and BMC Control‑M (preferred).
• Performance diagnostics, tuning, and change‑management/version‑control tools.
• Strong documentation and customer‑relationship skills.
