Annual Giving Officer – University Advancement

About the role

The Annual Giving Officer will lead Texas A&M University‑San Antonio’s annual fund program, creating multi‑channel campaigns that inspire alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents and community supporters to give. This role blends strategic planning, donor stewardship and event coordination to grow participation and revenue for the university.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute annual giving strategies, including email appeals, crowdfunding, giving days, social media and text campaigns.
• Manage and grow university giving societies and collaborate with marketing, communications and campus partners to craft compelling donor messaging.
• Maintain a portfolio of prospect donors, conducting qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship through in‑person, virtual and written outreach.
• Track donor interactions and campaign performance in the university’s constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
• Plan, coordinate and support fundraising events such as giving days, donor appreciation gatherings and signature foundation events.
• Analyze engagement metrics to optimize return on investment and meet established revenue and retention goals.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on relationship building.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet fundraising targets.
• Experience in higher‑education philanthropy or nonprofit fundraising preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset for interpreting campaign data and donor metrics.
