Allergy Technician – Medical Assistant

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as an Allergy Technician – Medical Assistant, providing critical support to physicians in the allergy department. You will perform skin tests, administer allergy shots, and handle front‑desk duties while working closely with LPNs, RNs, and medical providers.

Key responsibilities

• Document progress of immunotherapy patients and communicate concerns to physicians.
• Administer allergy injections, conduct percutaneous and intradermal testing, and mix vials for scheduled appointments.
• Answer department calls, manage voicemail, and schedule allergy testing and immunotherapy appointments.
• Prepare allergy endpoint sheets, serum lists, and paperwork for serum mailings.
• Enter test results into the EMR and review records for yearly evaluations.

Required profile

• Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant.
• At least 3 years recent experience in a physician office setting.
• Ability to adapt to constant change in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent computer skills, including EMR, word processing, and Excel.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania).
