AI/CAD Software Engineer

About the role

Falcomm is looking for a full-time AI/CAD Software Engineer in Atlanta to build intelligent tools that improve RF workflows, automate complex electromagnetic (EM) simulations and speed up the tape-out of high-performance Power Amplifier (PA) products. The role combines software engineering, machine learning and RF physics.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain code for training and serving ML models that predict and optimize RF performance metrics.
• Automate the creation and management of large datasets from PA load-pull and EM simulations.
• Integrate ML inference engines into existing RF EDA infrastructure so PA designers get real-time feedback.
• Set up best practices including testing, CI/CD pipelines and code reviews within an agile hardware team.
• Work with RF/PA architects to turn impedance matching and linearity requirements into deployable software.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering or machine learning.
• Strong grasp of data processing libraries (pandas, numpy, scipy) and file I/O.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of RF front-end architectures or RF metrics such as PAE, Gain, ACLR and EVM.

Required skills

• Advanced Python, including object-oriented programming and automation.
• ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.
• Preferred: RF PA design experience, Cadence Virtuoso, Ansys HFSS or Keysight ADS, open-source RF/EDA tools (gdsfactory, KLayout, Qucs, openEMS), simulation scripting with SKILL, AEL or Python APIs, and interest in physics-informed ML.
