AI Operations Specialist

About the role

Marsh Re is looking for an AI Operations Specialist to join its Marsh Re Operations / Operational Change team, based in New York or Chicago. This is a hybrid role with at least three days a week in the office. The specialist drives AI solutions across reinsurance operations, shaping and executing AI strategy and process redesign, and delivering production-grade AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and champion high-impact AI use cases across the reinsurance value chain, turning operational pain points into scalable opportunities
• Execute AI strategy for reinsurance broking operations, partnering with Broking, Distribution, Analytics, CSS/Operations and IT
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver generative AI solutions from ideation through production
• Translate technical concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG and MLOps into clear business value for stakeholders and leaders
• Establish best practices across the AI lifecycle, including responsible AI, governance and model risk
• Drive change management and capability building, including training materials, knowledge resources and communities of practice

Required profile

• 8-10 years of experience in process re-engineering, data science, AI/ML, product management, strategy, operations consulting or related fields
• Proven track record of turning business problems into AI use cases and delivering measurable value in financial services, insurance or reinsurance
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, able to drive change with senior leaders
• Nice to have: product management experience, AI implementation experience in (re)insurance workflows, familiarity with RMS, AIR or CoreLogic, advanced degree and/or AI/ML, product management or insurance certifications (ACAS, FCAS, CII)
