AI Governance Manager

About the role

This position is part of Deloitte Global's AI Governance, Confidentiality and Privacy team. You will work across Deloitte’s global network to develop and implement governance frameworks that ensure trustworthy AI and protect the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, policies, standards, and training for ethical AI use.
• Review AI use cases globally, advising on trustworthy AI strategies and embedding compliance‑by‑design.
• Translate regulatory obligations and emerging risks into actionable governance roadmaps and workstreams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including legal, technology, data scientists, and product owners—to integrate governance principles into AI, confidentiality, and privacy initiatives.
• Monitor emerging AI regulations and best practices, providing recommendations to senior leadership on governance maturity and risk exposure.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering governance and compliance capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy, AI, or related regulatory fields.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to drive issues to resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex regulatory concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Inclusive leadership style that encourages diverse perspectives and accountability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AI governance and compliance frameworks.
• Understanding of privacy legislation, data protection regulations, and AI‑related risk management.
• Experience with change management and project management methodologies.
