AI Engineer

About the role

Ravenna is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production‑grade large language model (LLM) systems. You will work across the full stack, integrating LLM capabilities into real product workflows and ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Build production AI systems that embed LLMs into product features, including prompt pipelines and tool integration.
• Design reliable LLM architectures with safeguards, retries, evaluation loops, and observability.
• Create evaluation datasets and tooling to measure model performance and prevent regressions.
• Develop retrieval and knowledge systems, optimizing chunking, indexing, and vector search for fast, high‑quality results.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ship polished AI‑enhanced features.
• Maintain strong engineering standards by writing clean, well‑tested code and contributing to architecture reviews.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience building production software systems.
• Deep understanding of system design, testing, observability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Hands‑on experience delivering LLM‑powered solutions in a production environment.
