Agency Development Manager

About the role

SafeLease is looking for an Agency Development Manager to be the primary liaison with the brokerage community. You will grow and manage relationships with independent agents and larger brokerages, helping them use SafeLease’s technology‑driven insurance platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and recruit high‑performing commercial lines agencies and brokers in core and adjacent verticals such as self‑storage, light industrial, marinas, and hangars.
• Lead the appointment process, train producers on the SafeLease portal, and ensure they can quote and bind business quickly.
• Serve as the main point of contact for producer partners, conducting regular account reviews, providing appetite updates, and gathering feedback.
• Educate producers on SafeLease’s data‑driven underwriting, faster turnaround times, and pricing advantages.
• Own the full pipeline from submission to bind, collaborating closely with underwriters to prioritize high‑quality risks.
• Develop distribution and referral relationships with existing property‑management customers and other industry partners.

Required profile

• Strong network of commercial property insurance contacts and ability to navigate large brokerage hierarchies.
• Deep understanding of commercial P&C fundamentals and enthusiasm for modern, technology‑enabled processes.
• Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and build actionable plans.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance distribution, agency management, or wholesale brokerage; surplus lines producer license preferred.
