Aftercare Program Teacher

About the role

The Calvary After School Program offers a Christ‑centered environment for students from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. As an Aftercare Program Teacher you will ensure safety, provide educational and recreational activities, and support the overall development of each child.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement the weekly schedule for a small group, leading crafts, games, lessons and other activities.
  • Identify and respond to behavioral issues while maintaining a clean, organized environment.
  • Maintain accurate program records, including incident reports, logbooks and daily attendance.
  • Follow all emergency and safety procedures, and participate in regular training.
  • Assist with dismissal procedures, ensuring each child leaves with an authorized adult.

Required profile

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of background check and fingerprint process.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement program activities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
