Advisory Solutions Consultant - Strategic West

About the role

SailPoint, an AI-driven security platform focused on identity and access management, is looking for an Advisory Solutions Consultant (pre-sales Solution Engineer) to support the US West sales regions for strategic accounts. You will partner with the sales teams by combining technical ability and business acumen to help SailPoint grow.

Key responsibilities

• Take an active part in the sales process and work closely with direct and channel sales teams
• Understand customer requirements and align SailPoint's solutions to them
• Present SailPoint's business functions, value and competitive advantages
• Deliver product demonstrations to prospective customers
• Help develop RFP responses with the RFP response team
• Take part in onsite and remote Proof of Value (POV) evaluations
• Give feedback to Product Management on product improvements

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in an enterprise software company (B2B)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: 3+ years working with Identity, Governance and Access Management solutions
• Preferred: BA/BS or global equivalent, 8 years of related experience
• Residence in a Western state is required; about 25% travel and flexibility to travel within the US (mainly the West) expected

Required skills

• Working knowledge of technical infrastructure: web services, application servers, databases, virtualization and directories
• Conversant with modern SaaS architecture
• Desirable: Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, Azure/AWS/GCP
