Advanced Registered Practice Nurse – Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neuroendocrine Tumors

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Advanced Registered Practice Nurse to join its Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Neuroendocrine Tumor service line. Working as an Advanced Practice Provider, you will deliver comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and coordination of care for oncology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories for oncology patients.
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments in accordance with state regulations.
• Screen patients for eligibility in clinical trials and assist with trial enrollment and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, investigators, and support staff, to develop and implement care plans.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with advanced practice credentials.
• Experience in medical oncology and neuroendocrine tumor care.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other health‑care professionals.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations governing patient care.
