Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Pulmonary (Per Diem)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the inpatient Pulmonary team at Martin Health North. This per‑diem position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care in a collaborative, team‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for adult patients with pulmonary disease.
• Manage day‑to‑day care of hospitalized patients, including admissions, rounding, consults, and discharges.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and initiate appropriate therapies.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and patient/family education.

Required profile

• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Licensed RN (for NP) or PA license in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support or equivalent may be required.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and cardiographic tests.
• Prescribing authority and medication management.
• Knowledge of pulmonary therapies and acute care protocols.
