Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Electrophysiology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Heart Vascular and Thoracic Institute seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join its Electrophysiology team, covering both inpatient and outpatient services. The position works on a 4x10 schedule with occasional weekend coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Perform and interpret laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic, and other routine diagnostic procedures as credentialed.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within state and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Educate patients on disease processes, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds, discharge planning, and quality monitoring.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (MSN required within 3 years) or an A.R.C.-approved PA program.
• Current state licensure as RN/NP or PA, with national certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, or ATLS may be required based on setting.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and hospital governing body.

Required skills

• Cardiology or electrophysiology background (preferred).
• Acute Care certification (for Nurse Practitioners) or equivalent PA credentials.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
