About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive primary care in General Internal Medicine. The APRN works independently and collaboratively to diagnose, treat, and manage patient health.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
- Implement interventions to maintain physiologic stability and monitor their effectiveness.
- Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Valid State of Florida APRN license.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office software and related computer applications.
