Advanced Practice Provider – Family Medicine Inboxologist I

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking a patient‑focused Advanced Practice Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its Primary Care team covering the Stow and Kent practices. The role splits time between direct patient care and managing the electronic inbox (in‑basket) for primary‑care patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care services across the lifespan, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret labs and imaging, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as permitted.
• Oversee inboxology duties, responding to patient messages, coordinating care, and ensuring continuity across specialties.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless patient experiences.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the applicable state(s).
• Experience working in a primary‑care setting.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (MSN required) or an A.R.C.‑approved PA program.
• Commitment to a predictable outpatient schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification where applicable.
• Ability to prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with state board and Cleveland Clinic policies.
