About the role
The Advanced Manufacturing Instructor will teach students in the Career & Technical Center, covering CNC machining, industrial automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, quality assurance, blueprint reading and related advanced manufacturing technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality classroom and hands‑on instruction in CNC machining, robotics, PLC automation, 3D printing and other advanced manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain industry‑aligned curricula that incorporate safety, quality and lean manufacturing principles.
- Prepare students for employment by providing practical training, project work and exposure to current manufacturing equipment.
- Assess student performance, provide feedback and support their academic progress.
Required profile
- Associate of Applied Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing or related field with relevant work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Teaching experience at the secondary or post‑secondary level is strongly desired.
- Valid driver’s license.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CNC machines.
- Experience using CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Operation of fork lifts, drones and 3D printing equipment.
