Adjunct Welding Instructor – Part‑Time

About the role

Join Savannah Technical College as a part‑time Adjunct Welding Instructor. You will deliver welding courses to post‑secondary students across multiple campuses, helping them develop the skills needed for successful careers in welding and related trades.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and manage classroom and lab instruction in welding.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback on learning objectives.
• Maintain program certification requirements and complete required documentation.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed in all laboratory environments.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and placement efforts.
• Teach flexible schedules, including evening classes, at campuses in Savannah/Chatham, Liberty, and Effingham counties.

Required profile

• Diploma in welding from an accredited community college or technical school (preferred).
• At least three years of recent welding work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Current American Welding Society (AWS) certification (strongly preferred).
• Prior teaching experience at a post‑secondary institution is highly desired.
• Underwater welding experience or certification is a plus.
