Adjunct Welding and Joining Instructor (Economic Development)

About the role

Join West Georgia Technical College as an Adjunct Welding and Joining Instructor, delivering theory and hands‑on training in welding technology to post‑secondary students. This part‑time, semester‑based position pays $35 per contact hour.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classroom and laboratory courses in welding and joining technology, using face‑to‑face, blended, or on‑campus formats.
• Develop standardized course syllabi and assess student progress according to grading policies.
• Grade coursework promptly and utilize current classroom and lab technology.
• Maintain program accreditation requirements and attend professional development as needed.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional matters.

Required profile

• Diploma in Welding and Joining Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of welding and joining experience within the past seven years.
• Ability to pass the AWS welding test (and possibly an additional pipe‑welding test).
• Valid driver’s license and availability to work morning or evening hours, Monday‑Thursday.
