Adjunct Faculty – Film Technology (Part‑time)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Film Technology. This part‑time position will support a growing curriculum and provide students with hands‑on experience in film and television production.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise students in the horticulture program.
• Develop program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment and prepare budget requests.
• Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Meet with students, staff members and other educators to discuss instructional programs and related issues.
• Assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in film, media, fine arts, communication or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in film or television production.
• Bachelor Degree in film, media, fine arts, communication or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in film and television production (preferred).
• Multi‑disciplinary production skills and ability to cover assorted classes in a growing curriculum.
• Experience with Movie Magic software, Final Draft, Adobe Premiere is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus.
