Adjunct Cyber & Related Programs Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Savannah Technical College, seeks a part‑time Adjunct Instructor to teach cyber and related programs across multiple campuses. The role involves delivering both theory and practical instruction to prepare students for careers in computer information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, develop syllabi, and deliver classroom and laboratory instruction.
• Use diverse teaching methods to facilitate adult learning and provide individual student assistance.
• Develop and manage curriculum, integrating work ethics, safety procedures, and current industry trends.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain academic policies, and advise students on registration and career placement.
• Travel between Savannah, Liberty, Effingham, Fort Stewart, or other locations as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of recent full‑time cyber‑related or CIS work experience.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in post‑secondary IT or related programs.
• Ability to maintain lesson plans and course materials that reflect current curriculum.

Required skills

• Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network+, MOS, or Security+.
• Knowledge in networking, programming, website design, and web development.
