Addictions Counselor – Residential Treatment

About the role

The Addictions Counselor will provide therapeutic services across three residential treatment locations, delivering evidence‑based care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in and check‑out with the Operations Manager each day.
• Facilitate low‑intensity residential treatment group sessions for up to 32 clients daily.
• Conduct telehealth intake and therapy sessions, including initial and follow‑up appointments, and document all sessions in ICANotes using appropriate coding.
• Provide in‑person individual sessions for designated clients.
• Travel between three residential treatment locations and maintain accurate documentation and compliance.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree and valid Maryland licensure (LCADC, LGADC, CAC‑AD, CSCAD, or ADT).
• 1–2 years of addiction counseling experience, preferably in a residential setting.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory standards (COMAR, CARF) and maintain client confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ICANotes electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with W7310 + RESRB coding for documentation.
• Experience using telehealth platforms for intake and therapy sessions.
