Counselor & Program Coordinator (Behavioral Health)

About the role

The Counselor & Program Coordinator supports a community‑based behavioral health program by delivering structured group services and handling program‑coordination tasks such as documentation, scheduling, and communications. The role blends direct client interaction with administrative oversight to ensure smooth, compliant program operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate approved behavioral health, recovery, psycho‑educational, wellness, coping‑skills, or life‑skills groups using culturally responsive and trauma‑informed methods.
• Coordinate program schedules, rosters, logs, reports, and routine communications; track outstanding items and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of group sessions, attendance, and administrative logs while protecting HIPAA‑governed information.
• Identify and promptly report safety concerns, behavioral issues, or any legally reportable incidents.

• Ability to balance direct‑service responsibilities with program‑coordination demands.
