Accounting Associate (Payables & Month-End Close)

About the role

Farther is a rapidly growing registered investment advisor (RIA) combining expert advisors with technology to deliver a tailored wealth management experience. As a member of its Finance team, the Accounting Associate manages accounts payable and takes part in month-end close, processing vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in Ramp and helping to streamline vendor relationships and optimize expense management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the procure-to-pay process in Ramp, including new purchase requests, documenting vendor agreements and scheduling agreement renewal notifications
• Support employee reimbursement programs and expense management
• Develop and maintain payroll analytics and reporting for key stakeholders
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Prepare bank, credit card and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized records of financial documents and provide audit support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive experience in payables management and month-end close
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and system optimization
• Outstanding analytical abilities and strong stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with Ramp or similar AP/expense management platforms preferred
• Bonus points: experience scaling payables in fintech, RIA compensation models and regulatory requirements, SOX compliance and internal controls, CPA or Big 4 experience
