Account Manager - Education Partnerships

About the role

ACU is looking for an Account Manager for its Education Partnerships business, based in Dallas and working remotely with occasional travel. The role builds relationships with education leaders and connects them with ACU programs and pathways for workforce and professional development, from early childhood through K-12 and community colleges. Candidates must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission of the university.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and negotiation: grow current partnership accounts, identify key decision-makers such as superintendents and HR leaders, run outreach campaigns and meet or exceed education enrollment goals.
• Client relationship management: strengthen ties with ESCs, ISDs and community colleges, act as liaison to partners and prospective students, track client behaviour and anticipate service roadblocks.
• Product leadership: become a subject matter expert on degree, certification and professional development pathways, educate partners virtually and in person, and facilitate partnership agreements such as MOUs and sales order forms.
• Monitor competitors and industry trends, and share partner feedback with ACU leadership.

Required profile

• Background in early childhood, K-12 or community college teaching and leadership, with at least three years of district-level educational administration.
• Advanced degree in teaching, business or educational leadership.
• Ability to build trust quickly in the education community, manage multiple client initiatives and negotiate buy-in at all levels.

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce or other account management platforms is preferred.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, Salesforce, Zoom and other organisational software.
• Cross-industry knowledge in nursing, information technology, higher education or another field is an advantage.
