Account Executive - Revenue Generation, University of Iowa

About the role

Learfield Amplify, which represents over 40 collegiate athletic departments and professional sports teams, is looking for an Account Executive for the University of Iowa. Acting as the exclusive outbound arm for the University, the sales team handles ticketed sports sales and aims to grow attendance and revenue. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and has prior ticket sales experience.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue through ticket sales, new donor acquisition, premium seating, hospitality and other revenue initiatives
• Call current and past customers and cold-call new leads
• Contact area businesses and individuals by phone, in-person or virtual appointments and networking events
• Build relationships to secure repeat business and excellent customer service
• Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals set by management
• Create new business opportunities with existing customers and provide superior customer service throughout the season
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Required profile

• 1+ years of sales or customer service experience
• 1+ years of success in ticket sales, preferably with a major Division 1 university or professional sports organization
• Proven track record in sales and relationship building
• Friendly, professional telephone manner and strong verbal and written communication
• Positive attitude, flexibility and ability to act independently
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Required skills

• Experience with ticketing systems and CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus
