Account Executive

About the role

Runlayer is looking for an Account Executive to drive new business and bring AI solutions to Fortune 500 and high‑growth enterprises. You will own the outbound motion, source meetings, and close early‑stage deals that shape enterprise AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Source and qualify meetings with senior leaders at large enterprises through outbound prospecting, events, and creative outreach.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to signed contract, collaborating with founders and engineers.
• Craft and refine the pitch, evolving the story based on prospect feedback.
• Document and systematize outreach strategies to build a repeatable go‑to‑market engine.
• Represent Runlayer at events, conferences, and customer meetings in NYC, SF and beyond.

Required profile

• Hunter mentality with a passion for outbound prospecting.
• 4+ years of experience in outbound sales, BDR/SDR, or AE roles at high‑growth SaaS or infrastructure companies.
• Consistent quota overachievement and recognition such as President’s Club.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to craft crisp emails and compelling pitches.
• Persistence and hustle – comfortable with multiple follow‑ups and creative contact methods.

Required skills

• Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure, or security products (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI tools for prospecting and outreach.
• Understanding of enterprise IT, security, or AI landscapes.
