Account Executive (Direct Sales)

About the role

Relay is a digital banking platform helping self-made business owners gain financial clarity and control. As an Account Executive (Direct Sales), you will champion the success of small businesses by driving new business and building trusted relationships with owners, accountants, and bookkeepers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, handling inbound and outbound channels and ensuring post‑close activation.
• Become an expert in Relay’s product and industry to advise clients and translate capabilities into tangible business value.
• Strategize with team members to innovate the sales process and collaborate cross‑functionally with Business Development, Marketing, Risk, Customer Experience, Revenue Operations, and Sales Enablement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of full‑cycle sales experience, preferably in fintech or selling to SMBs, accountants, or bookkeepers.
• Consultative, discovery‑led sales approach with experience in strategic account‑based prospecting and outbound pipeline generation.
• Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo) and a strong interest in leveraging AI for prospecting efficiency.
