Account Executive, Business Insurance

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring an Account Executive for its Business Insurance team in Frederick. The role manages relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to deliver top-quality service and drive growth. MMA provides business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and private client insurance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers
• Provide coverage analysis and risk management recommendations
• Negotiate coverage and pricing with carriers and prepare proposals
• Resolve billing issues
• Mentor Client Service Associates by developing their policy-checking skills and coverage knowledge

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least seven years of experience in business insurance
• Property & Casualty license
• CPCU, CIC, ARM and/or AU designations, or equivalent knowledge and ability
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship
• Plus: associates or bachelor's degree preferred, experience with non-profit, education and social services clients

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Plus: Sagitta, ImageRight and Epic (not required)
