Account Executive - Business Insurance

About the role

Marsh McLennan's East Region, a leader in the Business Insurance and Employee Benefits marketplace, is hiring an Account Executive in King of Prussia. The role supports the Producer by giving high-level expertise, technical detail and client service to clients and account teams, covering coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting and legislative changes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email and in person.
• Develop and execute a client service plan for each assigned account addressing business needs and risk management goals.
• Drive renewals with the Producer, presenting renewal documents to clients and preparing marketing materials and options.
• Coordinate relationship management meetings and visits with clients.
• Seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
• Assist clients with questions on administration, billing, claims and problem solving.
• Maintain policies and log client meetings, carrier follow-up and service issues in the client management system, and attend seminars and carrier meetings to stay current on products and legislation.
• Mentor team members and perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
• Appropriate insurance license(s).
• Strong client relations, communication and service skills, and ability to lead, give constructive feedback and train others.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in the client management system(s) used to update policies and track follow-up.

What we offer

• Base salary of $107,700 to $172,100, depending on experience, skills, location, certifications and education.
