Account Director – Luxury Hospitality & Travel PR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead PR initiatives for a luxury hospitality and travel client. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape strategy, manage key accounts and mentor a small team while working from our Midtown NYC office three days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive strategic direction for client communications and oversee execution of integrated PR plans.
• Analyse industry trends to spot opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Maintain and grow relationships with travel, lifestyle and luxury media, as well as KOLs in art, design, gastronomy and fashion.
• Lead and mentor two junior team members, providing training, coaching and performance feedback.
• Produce and edit press materials, including releases, media alerts and pitches.
• Secure high‑impact media coverage, measure results and report on campaign performance.
• Support new‑business efforts by contributing to proposals and pitches.
• Navigate crises and provide strategic problem‑solving support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of PR experience, preferably in an agency setting, with a strong portfolio in luxury travel and hospitality.
• Established relationships with travel, lifestyle and luxury media and influencers.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
