Senior App Store Optimization (ASO) Manager

About the role

onX is seeking a Senior App Store Optimization Manager to lead ASO strategy and execution across its Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Angling verticals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, you will own the roadmap, drive experimentation, and partner with Marketing, Product, and Creative teams to boost organic app discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve ASO strategy and roadmap for four verticals, aligning with broader growth priorities.
• Identify, prioritize, and test optimization opportunities across keywords, metadata, creative assets, and app‑store features.
• Monitor performance metrics, diagnose ranking or conversion changes, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Lead cross‑functional alignment with vertical marketing, product, and paid‑user‑acquisition partners.
• Maintain relationships with Apple, Google Play, and external ASO partners, surfacing platform opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in App Store Optimization and mobile growth marketing.
• Proven track record of improving organic discovery and conversion across multiple apps or brands.
• Strong analytical ability to turn performance data and competitive insights into priorities.
• Experience navigating ambiguity, prioritizing complex work, and adapting to platform changes.

Required skills

• Keyword and metadata optimization for Apple App Store and Google Play.
• App‑store creative development and A/B testing.
• Experimentation lifecycle management (hypothesis, testing, analysis).
• Use of AI tools and automated workflows for ASO reporting and research.
