Access Optimization Analyst III – Epic Cadence

About the role

The Access Optimization Analyst III will act as an advocate for access projects across the Cleveland Clinic system, focusing on EPIC Cadence scheduling and access workflows. The role is remote, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EPIC access projects, including planning, gathering customer input and estimating resources.
• Manage physician practice integration into front‑end EPIC systems through discovery, design, testing, implementation and optimization.
• Analyze workflow impacts, validate change requests, and ensure compliance with Institute design standards.
• Coordinate internal communication to standardize EPIC design and continuously improve access.
• Serve as the technical SME for Epic Cadence scheduling design and related workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration or related field with four years of EPIC outpatient experience, OR equivalent experience as outlined.
• Epic Cadence certification at proficiency level.
• Strong understanding of ambulatory workflows and patient access processes.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Epic Cadence build and workflow design.
• Epic scheduling modules, decision trees, Masterfile components (SER, DEP, PRC, PLS, SGRS, BLKS, etc.).
• Fast Pass and patient self‑scheduling tools.
• Workflow analysis and optimization.
