Academy Director - Early Childhood Education

About the role

Aspire Early Learning Academy, an early childhood education center serving infants through afterschool programs, is looking for an experienced, passionate and organized Academy Director to lead its team of early childhood professionals. The Director oversees daily operations, ensures compliance with state licensing requirements, supports staff development and builds strong relationships with families and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily center operations to ensure a safe, nurturing and educational environment.
• Maintain compliance with DSS regulations, health and safety standards and center policies.
• Recruit, train and supervise teaching and support staff.
• Develop and implement educational programs aligned with early learning best practices.
• Monitor classroom quality and coach and support teachers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families through regular communication and engagement.
• Manage enrollment, budgeting and administrative tasks.
• Promote a positive, collaborative workplace culture that supports staff growth and retention.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field.
• Meets South Carolina DSS requirements for a Director/Administrator.
• At least 3 years of experience in a licensed child care setting, including supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and curriculum implementation.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
