Academic Professional Track Faculty – Open Rank (McAllen)

About the role

The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University seeks qualified candidates for Academic Professional Track (Non‑Tenure) or Visiting positions. Appointments are open‑rank, ranging from lecturer to professor of the practice, with 4.5‑month or 9‑month terms starting Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate engineering courses, including robotics, automation, mechatronics, control engineering, and mechanical design.
• Develop and improve instructional techniques and course materials.
• Organize, deliver, evaluate, and assess student outcomes for assigned courses.
• Serve as liaison between College Station and the McAllen campus, advising and mentoring students.
• Lead extracurricular activities and student organizations related to engineering.

Required profile

• Relevant graduate degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to work in a remote‑learning environment while providing onsite instruction at the McAllen Higher Education Center.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
