About the role
We are seeking a dedicated 5th‑grade teacher to join Hartstern Elementary School for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The position starts at 9:40 am and follows a full‑time schedule of 187 days, approximately 7 hours per day.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved K‑5 curriculum.
- Monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress through regular assessments and reports.
- Maintain accurate student records and produce required documentation.
- Enforce Board policies, regulations, and school rules.
- Supervise students during classroom and school activities, ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Secure and maintain school property, equipment, and instructional materials.
Required profile
- Valid Kentucky teaching certification for the appropriate grade level (K‑5).
- Experience and preparation as defined by the Board’s qualifications.
- Commitment to uphold professional standards and ethical conduct.
Required skills
- Curriculum planning and implementation.
- Student assessment and progress reporting.
- Classroom management and supervision.
What we offer
- Competitive salary range of $48,479.56 – $98,587.95 per year, based on board‑approved placement rules.
