3rd Shift Stocking Team Member

About the role

Meijer is hiring a stocking team member for its 3rd shift in Ionia. The role keeps shelves fully stocked so customers can shop comfortably. You take stock from either an l-cart or a pallet, use the location codes on the box to place items in the right spot on the shelf, and finish your assigned area.

Key responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas
• Work with leadership to make sure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Required profile

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology
• Follows processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way
• Stays calm and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys teamwork and shared goals
• Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and standing for long periods

Required skills

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
