About the role

The Washington Elementary School District is seeking a dedicated 3rd‑grade teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. You will deliver the district‑approved curriculum, foster a supportive classroom environment, and collaborate with parents and staff to promote student growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Arizona State standards and district curriculum.
• Diagnose individual learning needs and provide differentiated instruction, including small‑group and one‑on‑one support.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through newsletters, notes, phone calls, and conferences.
• Establish and enforce classroom behavior standards to ensure a safe and effective learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress, keep accurate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate teacher aides, volunteers, and field‑trip activities.
• Integrate technology into lessons and create engaging classroom displays.

Required profile

• Valid Arizona Department of Education teaching certification for elementary education.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety Identified Verified Fingerprint Clearance Card.
