World Languages Teacher (Spanish & French) – Short-term Replacement

About the role

Barnstable is seeking a dedicated World Languages Teacher to cover a short‑term leave for Spanish and French instruction. The role focuses on delivering a student‑centered, supportive classroom that fosters compassion, tolerance, and critical thinking for grades 6‑12.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality instruction in Spanish and French, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Implement differentiated instruction and maintain accurate academic records.
• Communicate regularly and positively with parents and guardians.
• Participate actively in the campus community and professional development activities.
• Mentor students and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) with valid teaching credentials.
• Strong subject‑matter knowledge of Spanish and French for grades 6‑12.
• Experience or willingness to work with students who have learning differences or ADHD.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom‑management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, energetic school environment.
