Web Programmer/Developer – Full-Stack Web Development

About the role

The Office of Technology at Southeastern Louisiana University is seeking a Web Programmer/Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications and integrated systems. The role focuses on building secure web interfaces, supporting existing infrastructure, and integrating third‑party APIs while collaborating with internal stakeholders and end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure web interfaces for university services.
• Support and enhance existing web infrastructure, including CMS, LMS, and ERP systems.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and ensure seamless data exchange.
• Assist with enterprise system administration and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field by the hire date.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience designing and coding secure web applications following industry best practices.
• Familiarity with accessibility compliance standards such as WCAG and Section 508.
• Knowledge of Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.

Required skills

• PHP and MySQL development.
• Version control using Git.
• HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Encryption standards: PGP/GPG, SSH, TLS.
• Network protocols: HTTP, TLS/SSL, LDAP, DNS.
• Linux/Unix environment proficiency.
