Vice President of Sales, Louisville

About the role

iHeartMedia, the number one audio company in America, is hiring a Vice President of Sales for its Louisville market. The role manages local account executives and oversees advertising sales activities in the assigned market, driving revenue while controlling sales expenses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local account executives with the goal of meeting or exceeding station revenue, prospecting and new business targets
• Oversee advertising sales activities in the assigned market and control sales expenses
• Translate market and station business strategies into specific actions that generate sales and revenue
• Set sales goals, prepare budgets and revenue forecasts, and allocate operations resources
• Oversee available advertising inventory to drive the most profitable sales
• Meet with key accounts and recruit, hire and train account executives, including in-field coaching
• Review and adjust sales territories, product mix targets and call lists
• Direct other functions such as marketing, advertising, production, traffic and sales operations

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience as an Account Executive or Sales Manager in the media industry with a proven track record of success
• College degree preferred but not required
• Proven ability to grow new business and find new revenue opportunities
• Deep understanding of local markets, customers and competitors

Required skills

• Strong understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotion and collection standards
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication and influencing skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Business and people decision-making, and the ability to handle stress under deadlines and financial pressure
