Vice President of Academic Affairs (Chief Academic Officer)

About the role

The Vice President of Academic Affairs serves as the College’s Chief Academic Officer, providing strategic leadership for all academic functions. Reporting to the President and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this senior role drives the institution’s academic mission, ensuring excellence, innovation, and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the President on academic and administrative matters across the college.
• Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of instructional programs and academic support services.
• Foster collaboration among departments, faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance educational quality.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, promotion, salary decisions, and professional development.
• Manage the academic budget, resource procurement, and technology integration for state‑of‑the‑art learning environments.
• Ensure data availability for strategic planning and decision‑making.
• Identify and secure new revenue sources in partnership with other vice presidents and development offices.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher education or a comparable academic institution.
• Demonstrated ability to advance academic missions, drive innovation, and improve student outcomes.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing large budgets and overseeing complex academic operations.
