Vice President, Issues & Crisis

About the role

We. Communications is seeking a Vice President to lead issues and crisis management for Fortune‑500 companies, large nonprofits and philanthropies. The role will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients anticipate, prepare for and navigate high‑stakes reputation, policy and stakeholder challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior counsel on complex reputation, business, policy and stakeholder issues.
• Design and oversee issues management and crisis communications programs across scenarios such as cybersecurity incidents, litigation, regulatory investigations, executive matters, labor issues, geopolitical events and business transformations.
• Develop crisis preparedness plans, escalation protocols and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Help clients identify emerging risks, deliver strategic recommendations and prevent issues from escalating.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams of strategists, storytellers and counselors to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience advising senior leaders in large organizations on reputation and public affairs matters.
• Proven track record managing high‑visibility crises and complex issues.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory, labor, geopolitical and transformation risks.
• Excellent judgment, strategic thinking and ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
