Vice President, Events & Hospitality

About the role

Horizon Sports and Experiences (HS&E) is looking for a Vice President, Events & Hospitality to grow and run consumer events and B2B hospitality programs for brand clients. The role leads teams to deliver flawless experiences, solves client business needs proactively and reports directly to the Senior Vice President. It sits in New York and is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Client management and leadership: onboard new clients, define event strategies and objectives, advise C-suite executives, monitor ROI/ROO and proactively suggest improvements
• Business operations: oversee event operations, build annual business plans, manage team development, hiring and onboarding, and foster collaboration across the agency
• Account and project management: set planning deadlines, keep projects on schedule and within budget, oversee financial projections, contracts and budgets, and review security, safety and insurance coverage
• New business support: help generate organic growth, take part in agency pitches and prepare sell-in presentations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (minimum)
• At least 12 years of event management experience at an agency, team, league or brand
• Proven performance record and advanced understanding of corporate hospitality, event production and operations
• Experience training, teaching and coaching at least four team members
• Ability to work nights, weekends or travel for events

• Salary range of $170,000 - $190,000
