Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner works as part of an inter‑professional team to provide efficient, high‑quality, cost‑effective care in outpatient clinics, telehealth and occupational medicine under the supervision of a Medical Director.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide direct patient care using prescriptive authority.
• Perform minor procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, and EKG reading.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and patient education.
• Provide training and education to staff, new APPs, and students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred.
• Licensed as an APRN (Family, Adult/Geriatric, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) or as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA certified) in the state of practice.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency with Windows applications and data entry.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between facilities.
