Upper Extremities Sales Associate - Macon, GA

About the role

Stryker is hiring a field-based Upper Extremities Sales Associate in Macon, GA, supporting the Augusta, Macon, Columbus and Northeast Georgia territory, with occasional travel to Savannah. The ideal candidate lives in Macon. The associate partners with the area's Sales Representatives to learn the medical device industry and Upper Extremities business, then helps grow it in the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Cover cases in the territory, promote products in assigned accounts, build sets, manage inventory and help convert customers to Stryker.
• Attend surgeries where Stryker Upper Extremities products are used, ensuring products are available and instructing surgeons on product use.
• Educate doctors, nurses and other staff on product use, maintenance, updates, portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Work with sales teams to identify sales opportunities, deliver customer service and develop customer relationships.
• Identify needs of new prospects with the Sales Representative and tailor the promotional message after product training.
• Perform field calls, assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies, and help meet and exceed business targets.
• Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representatives and help resolve account problems.
• Partner on inventory management and on acquiring and processing customer purchase orders for proper invoicing.
• Stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends, attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular hours, and follow AdvaMed compliance and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree or medical certification (e.g., CST, PT, CPT) plus at least 2 years of professional or related experience.
• High school diploma plus at least 4 years of professional or related experience.
• 4+ years of active duty military service.
• Preferred: 1 year of medical sales experience, clinical background (physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, etc.), B2B sales, and strong knowledge of shoulder arthroplasty.

What we offer

• Base salary of $65,000, with possible eligibility for commission, bonuses and benefits.
• 70% travel percentage.
