Ultrasound Technician - Dual Registry Per Diem

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a per diem ultrasound technician for its dual registry position. The sonographer performs abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound exams, communicates findings to the radiologist and works independently while supporting the imaging team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations
• Communicate anatomy, disease and findings accurately to the radiologist
• Use color Doppler and other advanced imaging techniques correctly
• Work independently to gather the clinical information the radiologist needs for a diagnosis
• Accept secondary departmental duties to support teamwork
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Certificate or registry from a Diagnostic Imaging-accredited program
• Registered ARDMS or ARRT (US) ultrasound registration required
• Vascular experience required; RVT, CCI or ARRT-Vascular US registration required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for healthcare providers
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to attend annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance and new employee orientation
