UI Software Engineer

About the role

The CAT Digital Platform team is seeking a motivated front‑end developer to create user‑interface applications used by Caterpillar technicians, dealers and analysts worldwide. This position offers the chance to work on IoT‑focused solutions and reference single‑page apps that showcase platform services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and code front‑end UI software solutions.
• Address complex technical problems and deliver business‑valued features.
• Maintain high software quality by establishing good practices and habits.
• Collaborate with end users and customers to guide development, debugging and testing for accuracy and interoperability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building customer‑facing applications with modern front‑end frameworks.
• Understanding of the software development life‑cycle and structured delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with software testing strategies and integration of tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong decision‑making and communication abilities.
