Truck Driver OTR – Regional

About the role

Walmart is seeking experienced regional OTR truck drivers to transport freight safely and on time across the Southwest region. Drivers enjoy weekly home time, competitive earnings, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily routes, prioritize loads, and coordinate with dispatch to keep freight moving.
• Operate a tractor‑trailer safely, performing pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic logs in compliance with DOT, state, and company regulations.
• Follow optimized routes while adhering to traffic laws and local restrictions.
• Uphold Walmart’s standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism on every mile.

Required profile

• Valid Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement (or obtain within 120 days of hire).
• Minimum 30 months of full‑time Class A tractor‑trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record: no more than two moving violations, no serious traffic violations, and no preventable accidents in the specified time frames.
• Residence within 250 miles of the assigned facility or willingness to relocate within 90 days.

Required skills

• Class A CDL operation.
• Hazmat endorsement handling.
• Electronic Logging Device (ELD) usage.
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge.
• Compliance with DOT regulations.
